Distinction: Who's voice is Echoing within?
Distinguishing between God’s voice, the enemy’s influence, and soul wounds —and between discernment and suspicion — is a common and sometimes confusing question in many Christian lives. Well, I am here to help you.
As someone who has not only walked through this valley but also serves as a mental health advocate, counselor, coach, and minister, I want to help you gain insight, understanding, and perspective so that you can carry a fruit tracker with checks and balances as you journey through your life.
Scripture calls for careful listening, urging people to safeguard their ears from harmful influences and to seek wisdom, particularly in Proverbs 4:20-23, which emphasizes paying attention to God's words as they bring life and health. Other verses, like Psalm 1:1, warn against listening to ungodly things, while Proverbs 2:2 encourages tuning the ears to wisdom and understanding, and Proverbs 17:4 highlights that what we listen to reflects our character.
This four-week online Zoom course will expound on how to distinguish what’s echoing within. We will draw from the authority of scripture and emphasize testing thoughts against biblical principles, emotional cues, and spiritual discernment. We will also look at what the latest research has to say regarding our soul, brain, and body.
